Brian's Success Story
Upon graduating from Penn State, Brian had two struggles: not being employed in his career field, and lacking the tools necessary to grow and harvest the skills he needed to be successful in his career field. With a passion to develop software and a desire to improve, he decided to search for ways to develop such skills. Luckily, he stumbled across an advertisement for Exerceo's Software Development Working Group and decided to give it a try.
When Brian initially began Exerceo's Software Development Working Group, he struggled a bit when it came to certain projects. There was one moment in particular where he struggled and requested for help in completing his project. Exerceo's framework is designed to mentor, empower and challenge participants, and that is exactly what happened to Brian. He was quite frustrated and angry at the fact that not only was his project not working, but he was struggling to figure out a solution despite everything. Luckily, Brian had his "ah-ha" moment during this challenge, where he figured out not only how to solve his problems, but also that he is indeed capable of doing what he deemed as impossible. Brian was able to gain the power and self-confidence after this moment to be the successful software engineer he is today.
Brian's transformation peaked upon solving the first really challenging roadblock. He is proof that hard work and persistence can help inspire oneself. Thanks to the structure of the working groups, Brian was able to constantly innovate and transform in ways he did not expect. He understood how challenges are worth dealing with because of the rewarding and successful feeling of completing a task on his own. He now works as a Cloud Software Developer at Interclypse, where he applies his skills which resulted from his amazing transformation.
